At different sizes of columns and sprinkler strength, the authors conducted a column dipping test (consisting of seven columns) of heap leaching ore from the Mt. Leyshon mine. The variation range of gold leaching rate was obtained and the correlation between gold recovery rate and weight showering intensity and column height was observed under a certain area of showering intensity. The amount of sample found is not a significant factor determining the gold leaching rate, but it is an important factor affecting cyanide consumption. The gold leaching rate of this column dip test is lower than the actual rate of heap leaching at Mt. Leey shon mine due to the pre-treatment of heap leaching ore to the Mt. Leey shone mine and no laboratory test run .
