Xu Tingxing, born in Leshan County, Sichuan Province in 1913, served successively as a professor and a doctoral supervisor at the Department of Finance and Financial and Taxation Faculty of the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. He has long served as director of the finance department of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, and member of the academic committee and school degree committees. At the same time, he is also a member of the Economic Discipline Section of the Degree Committee of the State Council, a director and executive director of the China Institute of Finance, and a member of the China Economic Leverage Institute.
