Androgyny“ otherwise called ”the neu- tralization of the gender“ or ”bisexuality,“ is by no means synonymous with ”neither. male nor fe- male“ or ”tran - sexual person.“ It is, rather, a rich - connotation cultural concept born in the process of man’s quest for gender truth and is closely related to women’s emancipation movement. This article mainly expounds the emerging process of this cultural concept, the realistic significance and manifestation of the return of the concept in modern society after its several thousand years of evolution, and its role and development prospects in women’s emancipation movement.
