小海的诗歌创作始于20世纪80年代。那个时代激情燃烧,青年们大声呐喊,奋笔疾书,用诗歌来颠覆黑夜,代替睡眠。小海凭借着才华挣脱物质和精神都相对贫乏的农村生活的羁绊,进入才俊聚集的南大中文系。民刊《他们》就诞生于80年代的南京,小海作为刊物的发起人和中坚分子,是除韩东之外,唯一的一个有作品贯穿《他们》始终的诗人。这似乎也预示了他对于诗歌创作一种异乎寻常的热情和耐力。 Xiao Hai’s poetry began in the 1980s.
