从语言及翻译学角度来看,林语堂的英文小说Moment in Peking属于一种翻译,虽然该小说的文字形式是英语,却不同于其他的英语作品,其取材于中国文化,对中国丰富多彩的民俗文化进行了较为全面的介绍,并成功地将中国民俗文化推向了世界。接受理论强调的是译语读者在译文中的地位,在该理论框架下,作者将引用书中的实例并结合中国民俗的实情来分析该作品中的民俗文化传输的翻译策略。
From the linguistic and translatological point of view, Lin Yutang’s English novel Moment in Peking belongs to a kind of translation. Although the literary form of the novel is English, it is different from other English works. It is based on Chinese culture and is rich in Chinese folklore Culture was more comprehensive introduction, and successfully Chinese folk culture into the world. To accept the theory emphasizes the position of the target language readers in the translation, under the theoretical framework, the author will analyze the translation strategies of folk culture transmission in this work by citing the examples in the book and combining with the actual conditions of Chinese folk customs.
