白纪年同志是新任的中共陕西省委书记,现年五十八岁,原任陕西省副省长,中共陕西省委常委、省政府党组副书记。今年八月,由中共陕西省委主持,经全省县级以上干部民主选荐,然后由中共中央批准任命白纪年为陕西省委书记。他的这篇讲话对各地考察、选拔干部工作颇有参考价值,特摘要发表。
Comrade Bai Jilai is the new secretary of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee, now 58, the former deputy governor of Shaanxi Province, the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee and deputy party secretary of the provincial government. In August this year, chaired by Shaanxi Provincial CPC Committee and democratically elected by cadres above the county level in the whole province, the CPC Central Committee approved the appointment of Bai Jiian as secretary of Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee.
