中国的入世对电视媒体来说既是机遇,也有挑战。说是机遇,是因为就整个电视事业的发展而言,入世利大于弊,这是符合中国国家和人民的长远利益的。世界的进步需要中国的参与,同样中国的进步更离不开与世界各国的合作。随着信息时代的到来,数字化的信息传播技术使世界变成了一个真正意义上的“地球村”,广播、电视、电话、传真、电子出版、电子商务这些都能与计算机网络技术合为一体的事物,必将使信息的传播、流通和应用突破地域的限制。
China’s accession to the WTO is both an opportunity and a challenge for the television media. To say that this is an opportunity is because the development of the television industry as a whole outweighs the disadvantages of entering the WTO. This is in the long-term interests of the Chinese people and the people. The progress of the world needs China’s participation. Likewise, China’s progress can not be separated from the cooperation with other countries in the world. With the advent of the information age, the digital information dissemination technology has turned the world into a truly “global village.” Radio, television, telephone, fax, electronic publishing, and e-commerce are all integrated into computer network technology. Things, will certainly make the spread of information, circulation and application of geographical breakthroughs.
