The project “Research and Utilization of Honeysuckle Indica Gametogeny Male Sterility” completed by the research group headed by Professor Zhu Yingguo, Institute of Genetics, Wuhan University, China, recently passed the appraisal of China Natural Science Foundation of China. Experts believe that this move marks an important breakthrough in the research on China’s Honglian hybrid rice and has reached the international advanced level.
