通过对运用计算机技术学习英语口语态度方面性别差异的量化分析,考察了女生是否比男生学得更快更好以及男女生在实用性、信心和焦虑等指标方面的差异,被试系某省属高校100名非英语专业大学生。统计分析结果表明,男生和女生在前测和后测中的得分均值无显著差异,两者在听说课前后的态度处于同样的水平,说明通过计算机技术学习语言没有显著的性别不平等;配对样本t检验表明男女生对待学习口语技能的态度有明显改进,在焦虑维度方面也有明显的改进,说明最初对待听说课程强烈的恐惧和焦虑在课程临近结束时大大减少;在信心方面,在学期末女生表现出更高的信心水平。
Through the quantitative analysis of the gender differences in the use of computer technology to learn spoken English attitude, the paper examines whether girls are better and faster than boys and differences in practicality, confidence and anxiety between boys and girls, 100 non-English majors in colleges and universities. Statistical analysis showed that there was no significant difference between boys and girls in the mean scores of pre-test and post-test, both of which were in the same level before and after the class was heard, indicating that there was no significant gender inequality in learning the language through computer technology. t-test showed that male and female students’ attitudes toward oral English learning skills improved significantly and their anxiety dimensions also improved markedly, indicating that the fear and anxiety of the initial listening and speaking classes were greatly reduced at the end of the class. In terms of confidence, at the end of the semester, girls Show a higher level of confidence.
