枫树坪是枫林的旧称。少年时代,每年去长教(今云水谣)东山祖祠给爷爷上香,翻山越岭,都要路过枫树坪。这个古老的村落一如村口那巨大的老枫树,一直站在我的记忆里,或满是新绿,或落叶缤纷。枫树坪居有简、李两姓,其中李姓来自上杭,简姓始自南靖长教简氏开基祖德润公的第八子简贵信,世称二世祖。祖祠是一个家族最重要的精神高地,所有的族亲都从这里获得力量,从这里出发,去经历苦难和快乐,最后又回到这里。始建于明嘉靖六年(1527)的枫林祠位于枫树坪的风水宝地,坐东朝西,以近500年的长度守望村庄。
