近年来,由于港台歌星大举进攻大陆,受到“追星族”们的狂热欢迎和崇拜,而对国内的歌星表现出少有的冷落。于是,圈内大多数人归功于“包装”。很多名牌歌星也恐慌起来,纷纷签约于港台公司,希望借助他们的财力、物力和经验,给自己进行“包装”,似便得到更大更好的发展;国内一些音像公司面对困境,纷起迎战。认为只有公司花血本“包装”歌星,才能有真正属于自己的歌星,才能在音像界立足;“包装”歌星是为了和世界接轨,才有可能使中国的歌星走向世界,等等。于是一个歌星包装热悄悄在大陆崛起。
