Levander—Lindgren 氏(1964)报道,从前心肌炎的主要原因是风湿症,而于1940～1949年间所遇的117例心肌炎中风湿性者只占21.5%,1950～1959年间在135例心肌炎中风湿性者只占9.6%。在一些国家尤其是在发达的国家中风湿性心脏病在日趋减少,病毒性心肌炎及心肌心包炎则日渐为国内、外学者所重视,成为威胁青少年健康的重要疾病。
