任务型语言教学是在上个世纪80年代兴起的一种较新的语言教学途径。与传统的以语言知识的讲授为主的教学法相比,任务型语言教学更强调语言的交际功能和语言的输出。任务型语言教学的这一特点使之更适合于英语专业阅读课程的教学,尤其是学生人数较多的大班英语阅读课教学。本文探讨了如何在任务型语言教学指导下,进行大班英语阅读课教学,以及如何有效地避免由于班额较大而引起的一些教学困难等问题,提出了要将任务型教学与课程内容和学生的实际生活相结合的观点。
Task-based language teaching is a newer approach to language teaching that emerged in the 1980s. Compared with the traditional pedagogy based on the teaching of language knowledge, task-based language teaching emphasizes the communicative function of language and the output of language. This characteristic of task-based language teaching makes it more suitable for the teaching of English major reading courses, especially the large-class English reading class with a large student population. This article explores how to teach large class English reading classes under the guidance of task-based language teaching and how to effectively avoid some teaching difficulties caused by the large class sizes.
