刚刚闭幕的全国司法厅(局)长会议,对世纪之交我国司法行政事业的改革与发展作出全面部署,提出了司法行政工作跨世纪发展的总的工作思路和总任务:以党的十五大精神为指导,高举邓小平理论伟大旗帜,努力实践依法治国的基本方略,解放思想,更新观念,抓住机遇,开拓进取,充分发挥司法行政机关法律保障、法律服务、法律教育和法学研究的职能作用,抓住工作重点,努力实现司法行政工作
At the just concluded meeting of the National Bureau of Justice (Bureau), we made a comprehensive plan for the reform and development of China’s judicial administration at the turn of the century, and put forward the general work train of thought and general tasks for the cross-century development of judicial administration: Guided by the Great Spirit, Hold High the Great Banner of Deng Xiaoping Theory, Practice the Basic Strategy of Governing the Country According to Law, Emancipate the Mind, Renew Ideas, Grasp the Opportunity, Forge ahead, and Give Full Play to the Function of Legal Assurance, Legal Service, Legal Education and Legal Research of Judicial Administrative Authorities Role, seize the key work, and strive to achieve judicial administration
