处理器与存储器之间的带宽差距越来越大.存储器带宽已经严重限制了计算机性能的有效提高。California大学提出的IRAM(IntelligentRAM)计算机系统结构在单个DRAM芯片中集成一定逻辑功能,能有效解决这一问题,代表了体系结构研究的一个新方向。
The bandwidth gap between processor and memory is getting bigger and bigger. Memory bandwidth has severely limited the effective performance of the computer. The structure of IRAM (Intelligent RAM) computer system proposed by the University of California integrates a certain logic function in a single DRAM chip, which can effectively solve this problem and represents a new direction of architecture research.
