Using an inbred, homozygous dwarf rye cultivar crossed with wheat, the expression of 17 rye traits in 24 common wheat × rye and 8 durum × rye hybrids was studied. In all the hybrids, the performance of the hairy rye on the rye peduncle is evident. In the Durum × Rye hybrids, the dark green leaves were similar to rye and this trait was only partially expressed in the hybrids of common wheat × rye. The rusks had no hair on the ears and were absent in most durum × rye crossings; however, they were not found in the rye / rye hybrids. This shows that the traits of these traits are often controlled by the wheat D genome rather than by the A or B genome. Most hybrids with lower protein content have a thick powder frost on the leaf sheath and no spikelet at the base, similar to rye. Similarly, the majority of the doubly haploid sheaths, stems and stems also have anthocyanidins similar to rye. Among wheat, there are some restriction factors controlled by the A or B genome, suggesting that some wheat genotypes express rye traits, such as very thick waxy flowers, anthocyanidins on stem nodes and no spikelet at the base. The density and length of bristles on the midrib of the hybrid camel may be due to the interaction of wheat and rye. Like rye, the number of florets and spikelets decreased, indicating different levels of characterization in different wheat genetic backgrounds. The expression of some rye genes may also be affected by the interactions of rye genes with wheat cytoplasm or interaction with the environment.
