The relationship between art and money is like a twin brother, but at the same time we often need to argue about the ambiguous relationship between the two in order to prove that although they have blood ties, they each have their own life. It also shows that we have the dual nature of pursuing the interests and demonstrating the attitude. Matthew Collings, a British art critic and media guy, told us about a recent debate at the Saatchi Gallery in London entitled “Art fairs are about money and not about art.” The three-on-three line-up, art critic LouisaBuck, artists Jasper Joffe and Matthew himself are the supporters, favoring art fairs more about money; countering artists Richard Wentworth, Matthew Slotover, Frieze Fair director London, and Norman, former curator of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Rosenthal.
