隆林各族自治县位于广西西北部,地处滇、黔、桂三省(区)交界处,总面积约3551km2。处于云贵高原的东南边缘,属亚热带季风气候区。全县各地年平均气温为14.9～20.4°C。具有南冷北暖,山顶冷、谷地暖,垂直温差显著的特点。区内岩溶地貌以高基座的峰丛及小规模的洼地、谷地呈链状排列,岩溶层状发育,属广西大石山干早贫困地区。
