黑龙江省司法厅是1980年恢复组建的。主要职能是:管理指导监狱、劳教工作;管理指导律师、公证、基层法律服务、仲裁机构登记审批和人民调解工作;指导法制宣传教育和依法治理工作;管理和指导司法考试、法学教育、法学研究、司法鉴定、法律援助工作。省司法厅机关在2000年政府机构改革中,核定编制为105个。现设有政治部、纪检委(监察室)、机关党委以及11个职能处室。领导省监狱局、劳教局,厅直单位有省法学研究所、省公证处、省司法鉴定中心、省法律援助中心、厅监狱劳教转运站、厅教育培训中心、省政法管理干部学院、司法警官职业学院和今日法坛杂志社;归口管理省律师协会、省公证员协会、省公平安扶协会和省鉴定人协会。经过多年的建设,全省司法行政机构和队伍有了很大发展。目前,全省市(地)、县(区),农垦、森工总局和管理局都 Heilongjiang Province Justice Department was restored in 1980 set up.
