Although physical activity is essential to the health of a young person, children with disabilities tend to have lower levels of physical activity. Clinicians and their support teams have recognized the importance of exercise and routine physical activity in younger patients with Cystic Fibrosis (CF), yet there is a relative lack of knowledge about exercise prescriptions. CF is a recessive genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas and sweat glands. In Caucasians, CF is the most common genetic disease that reduces life expectancy because it can not be cured. More than 9,000 people have CF in the UK, of whom about 4,000 are under 16. Only about half of CF patients are expected to survive the age of 40, except for pharmacotherapy, various types of rehabilitation exercise programs are an important part of treatment, and long-term exercise program is considered a positive treatment strategy, but these are the lack of specific regulatory information . Several reviews and editorials have pointed out that the lack of evidence-based research on physical activity and exercise training in young CF patients advocates the need to understand more about the role of exercise in therapeutic interventions. The purpose of this article is to update readers' current recommendations and guidelines on physical activity and exercise training in young CF patients. These advances have broadened our understanding of physical activity and exercise training in CF patients in children and adolescents, deepening their use in treating this chronic condition.
