(III) Implement a joint development plan to promote balanced regional development. In order to support economic development in the economically backward areas, the German government has jointly implemented the development plan by the federal government and the state government. The core of the joint development program is the federal and state joint funding (60% in the Federation, 40% in the State). After the reunification of East and West Germany, the East German region was classified as an economically weak region. The state has provided more preferential policies on taxation, subsidies, and loans to small and medium-sized enterprises in the East German region to promote balanced development of the East and West. give
