岭南为中国近代文化荟萃地之一,其文化名人之多,文化成就之大,文化思想之精,历来为国内外学术界所瞩目。为了深入开展对岭南近代文化的研究,华南师范大学岭南近现代思想文化研究中心于1990年12月21—22日在中山市小榄镇召开了岭南近代文化史问题研讨会,参加会议的有华南师大、广东高等教育出版社、《学术研究》编辑部等单位的专家学者共二十余人。会议主要讨论了岭南近代文化史的研究范围、岭南近代文化的地位和影响、岭南近代文化的基本特点等问题,并在此基础上,形成了编撰岭南近代文化史丛书的设想。现将有关内容综述如下。
Lingnan is one of the most famous places in the world for modern Chinese culture. Its cultural celebrities, great achievements in culture, and fine cultural ideas have always attracted the attention of academics both at home and abroad. In order to carry out the study of Lingnan modern culture, South China Normal University Lingnan Modern and Contemporary Thought and Culture Research Center held a seminar on modern history of Lingnan history in Xiaolan Town, Zhongshan City from December 21 to December 22, 1990. Participants in the meeting included South China Normal University, Guangdong Higher Education Press, “Academic Research” Editorial Department and other units of experts and scholars a total of more than 20 people. The meeting mainly discussed the research scope of modern Lingnan history, the status and influence of Lingnan modern culture, the basic characteristics of Lingnan modern culture, and on this basis, formed the idea of writing a series of modern Lingnan history books. The relevant content is summarized below.
