我省闽西北山区稻瘟病近年发生较为严重。如嵩溪的伍家坊、清流的围埔、宁化的甘木棠、泰宁的朱口,都是常年稻瘟病发生的“老窝”。水稻受稻瘟病为害后,轻者减产一至二成,重者减产五、六成,甚至颗粒无收。在民间流传着“人怕癌病稻怕瘟”这样一句话。兵团组建后,在各级党委的正确领导和重视下,为夺取山区粮食高产,对稻瘟病进行了调查研究和防治工作,初步摸索了一些山区稻瘟病的发生规律和防治办法。
