Low-amplitude beta activity is one of the normal waveforms of human electroencephalograms (EEGs), but abnormal beta activity can occur in some diseases. There is a growing awareness of abnormal β activity in adults, but so far there have been few studies in children. This study included 80 normal children with β activity in conscious EEG (40 males and 36 females, divided into 4 groups of less than 3 years old, 3 years old, 5 to 8 years old and over 8 years old, 20 in each group) And 96 children with various CNS disorders. No sedation or anesthetic was used in all children until 72 hours prior to tracing. During the follow-up, a comprehensive neurological examination was conducted. According to different ages, DDST, PPVT, paint-in test, CRT, Weekstar and other scales were used for intelligence screening and combined with academic performance and social adaptability to make intelligent judgments. Some patients with abnormal β activity EEG 1-3 times follow-up.
