1984年9月30日,法国国营铁路巴黎-马德里的线路上投入运用了二等新型卧车。这种新型卧车的30辆,1985年编挂在巴黎一里斯本(葡)、波尔图(葡)-比戈(西班牙)的南方快车上。这些新型卧车装有空调,设有10个6人包间,一个乘务员室,2个带盥洗设备的厕所和2个盥洗室。它同Z型客车一样,符合UIC567-2规程的规定。这种新型二等卧车,其总体装饰和舒适度同1977年投入运用的290辆Corail二等卧车类似。
September 30, 1984, the French state-run Paris-Madrid line put into use a second-class new type of sleeper. The new 30-bed wagon was mounted in 1985 on the South Express in Paris-Lisbon, Portugal and Vigo (Spain). These new sleepers are air-conditioned and feature 10 6-person cabins, a flight attendant, 2 toilets with toilet and 2 washrooms. It is the same with the Z-type bus, in line with the provisions of the UIC567-2 regulations. The overall sophistication and comfort of this new second-class sleeper is similar to that of the 290 Corail second-hand sleepers that came into operation in 1977.
