The occurrence of malignant tumors is not only related to the activation of oncogenes and the mutation or deletion of tumor suppressor genes, but also to the inhibition of tumor apoptosis. Livin, the newest member of the apoptosis-inhibitory protein family, is highly expressed in many tumor tissues. It has become a hot research topic in cancer research and a new target of cancer therapy. Its specific mechanism of action and the relationship with other tumor-related genes is not yet clear. In recent years, the current research on the molecular biological characteristics of Livin, anti-tumor cell apoptosis mechanism and the relationship with other related genes are reviewed.
