博物馆作为文物和标本的主要收藏机构、宣传教育机构和科学研究机构,现今已经成为了我国社会主义科学文化事业重要组成部分。根据《国际博协章程》的规定,“博物馆是一个不追求营利、为社会和社会发展服务的、公开的永久性机构。它为研究、教育和欣赏的目的,对人类和人类环境的见证物进行收集、保护、研究、传播和展览。”因此,博物馆所被赋有的所有职能包括收藏、保管、科研、展示、宣传、教育等都是以满足公众的精神需求、促进社会的发展为目的而履行的。当观众走进博物馆后,通过参观一定主题内容的展览、陈列,从中获取科学文化知识,使自己对人类社会的认知水平、对美的事物的鉴赏能力有所提高,那么,这便是博物馆的宣教职能得到了最终的体现。可是,在此之前,如何让社会上的广大观众获知博物馆的陈列内容、展览活动动态以及有关博物馆收藏、展出的藏品的基本知识,从而使他们萌发走进博物馆,来博
