甜杂1号高粱是中国农林科学院1974年利用国外“三系”材料配制的粮糖兼用高粱新品种。1976年,在诸城县委的统一领导下,由县科技办、农林局、酒厂、副食品加工厂等单位与中国农林科学院诸城科技服务组密切配合,同大近戈庄、岳家庄等大队的贫下中农相结合,组成三结合试验协作组,采取统一计划,集中与分散相结合的方法,全县共试种“甜杂1号”35亩,其中春播28亩,制种16亩。平均亩产高粱700多斤,秸秆约5,000斤。用秸秆制出糖稀350斤左右。

The average yield of more than 700 kilograms of sorghum, straw about 5,000 pounds. Sesame sugar made about 350 pounds with straw.
