古往今来,对唐诗的翻译颇多。但由于英汉两种语言的思维方式和文化的差异性,给唐诗意象的翻译带来了种种的困难。从某种意义上讲,对意象的处理是唐诗英译中最重要,最困难的,对意象翻译的成功与否,直接决定了整首诗翻译的质量。本文作者通过对比英汉两种语言思维方式的差异并分析导致唐诗误译的原因,最后通过对比柳宗元《江雪》的两篇译文来说明翻译唐诗时,只有先深入了解两种语言的差异性,才能准确翻译原诗的意象,进而准确传达诗歌原意。
Throughout the ages, a lot of translation of Tang poetry. However, due to the differences in the way of thinking and culture of English and Chinese languages, it brings various difficulties to the translation of Tang poetry images. In a sense, the handling of images is the most important and difficult one in English translation of Tang poetry. The success or failure of image translation directly determines the quality of translation of the entire poem. By contrasting the differences in the way of thinking between English and Chinese and analyzing the reasons for the mistranslation of Tang poems, the author compares the differences between the two languages when translating Tang poems by comparing the two translated versions of Liu Zongyuan’s “Jiang Xue” Can accurately translate the original poem image, and then accurately convey the original meaning of poetry.
