我区自1950年推广胜利百号以来,较当地品种增产深受群众欢迎;但因该品种栽培历史长,种性发生了很大变化,出于率降低、抗病性減弱,已不适应生产需要。因此迫切需要迅速更换新的优良品种。近年来,在60余处示范队作了新品种对比试验,遗字138,59-811普遍表现良好,瓜干产量比胜利百号高15%左右;52-45、北京553,瓜干产量比胜利百号高10%以上。一、优良品种的主要性状: 1.59-811(单):1964年在8个县17处生产队示范证明鲜瓜与瓜干产量均高于胜利百号,山岭地春栽13处,鲜瓜平均增产14.2%,瓜干平均增产20%;平原地春栽4处,鲜瓜平均增产9.8%,瓜干平均增产20.05%。我所1963年、1964年两年试验结果:岭地春栽鲜瓜平均增产26.1%,瓜干平均增产33.2%;平原地春栽鲜瓜增产20.2%,瓜干增产33.2%。该品种还具有结瓜早而集中,瓜块大而整齐,
