藏南一系列大小不等的穹状隆起的变质核杂岩体,是由前震旦系亚堆扎拉岩群组成内核,古生界曲德贡岩群组成滑脱系,上三叠统郎杰学群和涅如群组成盖层。藏南变质核杂岩划分为多层式、双层式和隐伏式3种类型,是喜马拉雅板片和冈底斯——念青唐古拉板片碰合期后陆内调整阶段由于地壳伸展、深部物质上隆和多层次滑脱剥离作用形成的大陆伸展构造形式,具有重要地质构造意义和成矿控矿作用
