前不久,长沙市举行了首届中学生历史竞赛。这次竞赛是为了贯彻中央领导同志关于加强中国历史教学,特别是中国近代史教学,向学生进行爱国主义教育的指示精神,由市教育科学研究所和中学历史教研会联合举办的。竞赛命题是由省教育科学研究所政、史、地研究室在广泛征求史学界,教育界人士意见的基础上,经过多次研究确定的,既注意了思想性,又注意了科学性。这次竞赛活动,对于培养学生学习历史的兴趣,激发学生的爱国热情,推动中学历史教学产生了十分积极的影响。
Not long ago, Changsha held its first middle school student history contest. The competition is to implement the instruction spirit of the central leadership’s comrades on strengthening Chinese history teaching, especially the teaching of Chinese modern history, and patriotic education for students. It was jointly organized by the Municipal Institute of Educational Sciences and the History Teaching Research Institute of Middle Schools. The competition proposition is determined by the provincial government’s Institute of Education, Science, History, and Geosciences on the basis of extensive solicitation of opinions of the academic and education circles. After many studies and determinations, it has paid attention to both ideology and science. This competition has aroused students’ interest in learning history, stimulated their patriotic enthusiasm, and promoted a very positive impact on the teaching of history in middle schools.
