As an attractive seaside tourist city with charming seas and mountains, as well as more than 50 historic sites, Qinzhou will show you its beauty and mark it into your heart. The charm of Qinzhou is scattered in the subtropical coastal beach, hidden leisurely in the misty mountains in the distance, planted in the green farmland, left in the archaic streets and villages, built in the fast-changing towns, and haunted deeply in your heart as the rare Chinese white dolphins. Whenever you play with Chinese white dolphins on the sea, taste the delicious oysters, or have fun with the waves, you are in Qinzhou. Now, let’s capture some wonderful moments with camera to awaken our sincere sentiments deep inside!
The guardian of sea
You will evoke the image of Chinese white dolphin at the very mention of the Sanniang Bay. Previously, due to the backwardness of science and technology, an unexpected storm would lead to a complete disaster for the residents who were making a living on the sea. Fishermen believed that the Sanniang Bay was their guardian, and usually prayed to her before sailing. When they returned, they would redeem a wish by offering incense to the Sanniang Stone, a place for the locals to seek for spiritual comfort and hope.
Legend has it that a long time ago, three fairies fell in love with three handsome men and married with them. For years, they lived happily in a small village. However, the God was angry with these three fairies and created a tsunami to destroy this village. In order to safeguard this village, these three fairies suddenly turned into three stones to prevent the tsunami. From then on, Sanniang Stone has become a holy place where the local fishermen burn the incense and pray for peace, health and good luck during traditional festivals. The Sanniang Bay is not only the cradle of life and love, but also the purifier of soul. Apart from the Sanniang Stone, there are so many interesting things worth visiting: the unique reefs and shady woods at the beach, the fishing trips arranged by the local fishermen, as well as the sea birds and billowy tide at the bay.
