Since the 1970s and 1980s, the Variance Theory based on cross-sectional data research has become a major research method in the field of non-market behavior. Process Theory provides a brand-new perspective for research on non-market behavior because it can relate behaviors to institutions, consider non-market behaviors of companies as a process, and dynamically analyze non-market behaviors based on vertical data. Evolution of market strategies and behaviors. We have constructed a Process Model l, which emphasizes that a company’s non-market strategy is a group of actions and describes it as a complex system in which different levels of analysis (including organizational, industry, and institutional) factors are Impact on the company’s behavior. Because non-market behavior also affects these factors, the process is essentially System Dependence. Our research has promoted the longitudinal study of corporate strategy and thus effectively supplemented the existing literature.
