大白菜(Brassica Pekinensis Rupr.)原产于我国,以后传至日本、朝鲜,它在这三个国家是冬春的主要蔬菜。大白菜在我国北方不仅在冬春以鲜食蔬菜供应市场,也是酸菜、渍菜和冬菜等加工菜的重要原料。世界其他冷凉地区,偶有栽培,但只是作为一种点缀品应市。大白菜杂种优势利用的研究,始于本世纪五十年代,首先是日本伊藤庄次郎着手选育大白菜自交不亲和系。到六十年代通过伊藤、治田等人利用自交不亲和系配制天然一代杂种用于生产。在日本,近年来,各蔬菜花卉种苗公司,如壠井、高山、丸种等,均各拥有适合于本地区春、秋、冬种植的一代杂种,即具有生长期50—110天各种熟性的品
