Hainan Island is located in the subtropical zone, which is an ideal area for studying the distribution characteristics of Bancroftian filariasis and mosquito vectors. Therefore, we selected residents of 15 representative counties (towns) in the island to investigate the prevalence of filarial infections and observed the main habits of mosquito vectors in Ledong County by the commune.
