In recent years, optical carrier radio systems (ROFs) based on the application of microwave photonics have drawn much attention as optical fiber communication technologies for realizing low-cost ultra-wideband wireless access. At the same time, wireless personal area network (WLAN) technology has entered the standardization stage because it can meet the demand of high-speed indoor multimedia services in the future. The microwave photonic signal processing technology, which is the key technology of ROF system, shows many advantages and potentials in processing high-speed signals. The research group proposed a variety of microwave photonic technology based on electro-optic modulator to realize the function of microwave signal processing.
