我国南方梨树多为砂梨系统(包括日本梨)品种。在高温、多湿、生长期长的物候条件下,肥水充足时,梨树生长量大:1~5年生幼树的新梢长度多数为70~120厘米,粗度直径为1.0~1.4厘米;部分中干、主枝延长枝的新梢长达150~200厘米,粗度直径为1.4~2.1厘米。这样的生长量,如果采用不正确的修剪方法,很容易造成上强下弱的现象,产生树体高,冠幅小,高冠比值大于1.5~2.0,丰产性能差等不良的树体结构。
