According to a notice recently issued by the General Office of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, investigations are required to investigate the increase in wages of employees in state-owned enterprises. This move refers to the evil of “only increasing the annual salary of the veterans and not increasing the wages of the workers”. In today’s China, it goes without saying that the labor force still has the attributes of commodities, and the wage-work system still exists. There are only 890,000 migrant workers who move between urban and rural areas, plus other industrial workers and business service personnel employed by various types of enterprises. The minimum number of migrant workers is no less than two.
