Owen Shaw, the playwright and novelist who played an important role in the history of American modern literature, died in Switzerland on May 16, at the age of 71. Owen Shaw was born in 1913 in New York City, a salesman family, 1934 after graduating from Brooklyn College in the United States as a radio writer, while writing the script. The war was a major theme for Owen Shaw’s work, his one-act play Bury the Dead published in 1935, depicting the story of six war dead soldiers refusing to be buried. After this anti-war drama was released, it attracted the attention of the American theater and Owen Shaw became famous. Owen Shaw served on the U.S. Army Communications Corps during World War II. In 1949, he wrote based on his own knowledge of the war
