在迎接新的一年之际,我代表热处理学会理事会及本刊编委会向学会会员和广大读者、作者、通讯员致以最衷心的新年祝贺,祝贺同志们在新的一年里身体健康、心情愉快,并为发展热处理科学技术,为提高机电产品质量,促进国民经济发展作出新的贡献,取得更大成就。一九八四年,我国热处理行业取得了不少成就,生产管理和工艺水平都有了提高;真空热处理在较大范围内推广:CO_2红外控制滴控渗碳有了提高和普及;辉光离子渗氮工艺得到稳定和提高;专业化生产也取得了较大发展。我学会通过改选产生了第二届理事会,增添了不少新鲜血液,正在积极开展各项工作。现在,一九八五年已经到来,我们满怀信心,展望新的一年,预期可取得更突出的成绩。与此同时,在新的形势下,也深深感到我们热处理工作者肩上的责任更重,要完成的任务更为艰巨。

I learned to create the second session of the Council through reelection, adding a lot of fresh blood and actively carrying out various tasks.
