In China, many stray animals can be seen everywhere in the streets. They lack food and a healthy living environment, and they bring harm to public and human health. However, there are not enough shelters and organizations to help them, and the government's management of stray animals is not supportive as well. People do not have awareness or knowledge of how to help stray animals, so this project is designed to investigate local Chinese citizens'understanding regarding this homeless animal issue. A questionnaire is designed to ask local people in China about the impact of stray animals, its management or handling and potential problems the animals cause to local communities. In order to solve the problem of the stray animals, the solutions are suggested: (1) call people's attention via dispersing the ideas and knowledge what kinds of hardships the stray animals are going through and (2) promote government-level approaches.
