几乎所有类风湿性关节炎(RA)患者的血清中都存在抗球蛋白(类风湿因子)。即使患者血消绵羊细胞凝集试验呈阴性反应者,IgG和 IgM 抗球蛋白亦超过正常水平。RA 患者也常发现免疫复合物,尤其是在炎症的关节滑囊液中。现已证明自我结合的 IgG 抗球蛋白是构成这些免疫复合物的主要部分,据分析提示这些免疫复合物中还含有一定量的补体 Clq 和其他补体成分。这些免疫复合物似乎是通过补体系统的激活,和粒性白细胞、大单核细胞溶酶体酶的释放,作为引起炎症组织损害的媒介。
Anti-globulin (rheumatoid factor) is present in the serum of almost all patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). IgG and IgM antiglobulin also exceeded normal levels, even if the patient’s blood was negative for sheep agglutination. Immune complexes are also frequently found in RA patients, especially in the synovial fluid of inflammation. It has been demonstrated that self-binding IgG antiglobulin forms the major part of these immune complexes and analysis suggests that these immune complexes also contain some amount of complement Clq and other complement components. These immune complexes appear to act through the activation of the complement system and the release of granulocytes, macrocytes, and lysosomal enzymes as mediators of inflammation tissue damage.
