Translation is far from a simple language conversion process, it can take various strategies or strengthen or weaken the two sides involved in all aspects of language and culture. Therefore, it is of great research value for the comparative literary scholars to pay attention to the new narratives produced by the original texts such as cultural aphasia and translation variation in the new context, to find out the hidden reasons behind them. In this paper, a bilingual comparative analysis is made between the “Red Sorghum clan” and its English translation. The results show that the phenomenon of Chinese aphasia in the English translation is obvious. In the process of translating, the translator makes some of the source culture with distinctive historical and cultural symbols, Transliteration translates beyond the acceptable range of the source language and its culture beyond the ultimate interpretation of the source language culture. The isolated height of some source dialects and idioms, Literal translation can make western readers who do not know Chinese feel hard-tongued and obscure, which may scare away many readers and hinder some of the initial spread of Chinese literature in the world. That is some regret.
