清川督赵尔丰,其镇压四川保路运动的罪行已是路人皆知的事了。但笔者认为,对辛亥革命中的赵尔丰的评价,尚有研讨的必要。本文拟就以下几个问题提出粗浅意见,以就正于大家。 一 赵尔丰是保路运动的推波助澜者 四川保路运动的轩然大波和护理川督王人文的支持态度,使清廷把镇压保路运动的指望寄托于赵尔丰身上。但夙以“屠户”著称的赵尔丰却一反常态,不仅未用兵镇压,反而同情并支持川民保路。 赵赴任川督途中,在给王人文的信里,就明确表示保路问题事关国权,理应为民请愿。
Qingchuan governor Zhao Erfeng, the crime of suppressing the movement of protecting the road in Sichuan is already known to all. However, I believe there is still a need for discussion on the evaluation of Zhao Er-feng in the 1911 Revolution. This article is intended to put forward some superficial opinions on the following issues, just to everyone. A Zhao Er-feng is the wave of people who promote the road maintenance movement in Sichuan escalating uproar and care Kawabata Wang humanistic support attitude, so that the Qing court pinch the hope of suppressing the movement in the body of Zhao Er-feng. However, Zhao Erfeng, known for being a “butcher,” was unoptimized and not only did not use troops to suppress it, but instead sympathized with and supported Chuan Min Pao. In his letter of office to Governor Ch’uan Ch’uan, Zhao clearly stated that the issue of protecting the road is a matter of national sovereignty and should petition the people.
