霍译本封底标明《红楼梦》主旨涉及Buddhistbelief(佛教信仰),足可昭示真相。
This article questions two approaches in the translation of A Dream of Red Mansions: one is “only limited to the lexical level” when examining; second, the concept of “western hegemony” is applied when criticizing. The author thinks it is more fair to do this: Reading a translation must pay attention to the coherence of the discourse, but not to interpret only the words or phrases in the translation in isolation. In addition, the translators in the West did use naturalization techniques. However, much evidence in the translation shows that translators and publishers do not have the intention of “covering up the Buddhist faith.” The translation of the cover of “Huo Yue” shows that the main theme of “Dream of Red Mansions” involves the Buddhist Belief (Buddhist Belief), which is enough to show the truth. In the end, this article thinks that the “heterozygosity phenomenon” of Huo Translator is very obvious.
