软件定义无线电(Software-defined radio,简称SDR)向人们展现出了一些无线技术的未来,但它只是一项还处在进行中的工作。与任何一项技术一样,它也是随着各个组成部件和实践的不断改进,沿着一条逐渐进化的道路演变至今的。因为芯片的发展遵循着摩尔定律,而且伴随着更优秀的软件的出现,这项技术也在更广泛的领域中得到应用。软件定义无线电是一个活动靶标。目前它的当前“现状”相对还不那么起眼,不过它在业界的定义和地位都会不断发展。手机基站(basestation)和军用无线电设备只不过是一场软件定义无线电运动的精彩序幕,而这场运动的发展趋势将顺应需求与时机的确定,并取决于电子技术和软件技术所能达到的能力。
Software-defined radio (SDR) shows some of the future of wireless technology to people, but it is only a work in progress. As with any technology, it evolved along a path of evolution that continues to evolve as the various components and practices continue to evolve. Because the development of the chip follows Moore’s Law, and with the advent of better software, the technology is also being applied in a much broader area. Software Defined Radio is an active target. At present, its current “status quo” is relatively less prominent, but its definition and status in the industry will continue to evolve. Mobile base stations and military radios are no more than a fantastic preview of software-defined radio activity, and the trend of this movement will be tailored to the needs and timing and to the capabilities that electronic and software technologies can achieve .
