〔编者的话〕 踏在新世纪的门槛上,我们禁不住要回首顾盼,审视走过的漫漫长路;而我们更热切的是翘首前瞻,企望前途的宽阔与光明。这是有幸跨越世纪之交的一代人压抑不住的心情与愿望。怎样走好新世纪的第一步呢 ?在我们看来,还是要继续走改革之路。需知,改革未必带来进步,但是进步终究需要改革。在新世纪起始之时,“改革”二字的分量尤其沉重。下面是我们邀请的几位语文教育的行家里手谈论的几个问题,希望能够启发读者对语文教育改革及相关问题的思索与探讨。
[Editor’s note] As we step on the threshold of the new century, we can’t help but look back and look at the long road we have traveled. We are more eager to look ahead and look forward to the broad and bright future. This is an irrepressible mood and desire for a generation that has the privilege of crossing the turn of the century. How to take the first step in the new century? In our opinion, we must continue to take the road to reform. It is important to know that reforms do not necessarily bring about progress, but progress needs reform in the end. At the beginning of the new century, the word “reform” was particularly heavy. The following are a few of the questions raised by the experts in language education that we have invited. We hope to inspire readers to ponder and discuss the reform of Chinese language education and related issues.
