中尼公路尼泊尔境内的巴拉比斯至科达里路段,为傍山沿河路线,1981年7月因河流上游暴发特大冰川泥石流,路段的大中桥三座及三分之一路基被冲毁.我国援建该路的修复工程于1983年4月开工.巴科公路位于喜马拉雅山南坡,自然地质条件复杂,存在各种不良地质现象.路基大多布设于沿河两岸的松散堆积层上,又不恰当地采用了全挖式断面,且边坡过陡,加剧了路基病害的发生.修复工程已粗通的路基经过1983年雨季,到1984年7月底,发生路基病害所需清方的数量达430,000m~3.1984年6月至8月笔者参加交通部工作组赴尼
