Appropriate stimulation due to metabolic needs, visual cortex increased regional cerebral blood flow has been PET or MRI confirmed. The authors used transcranial Doppler ultrasound (TCD) to observe changes in cerebral blood flow velocity caused by visual stimuli of different brain dysfunctions. The patient group consisted of 28 patients, of whom 12 were aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), 4 males and 8 females, aged 43 (19- 56 years). The aneurysms were located in 6 cases of middle cerebral artery (MCA), 2 cases of internal carotid artery, 3 cases of anterior communicating artery and 1 case of basilar artery.
